Multidomain EV SSL Certificates

Multidomain EV SSL Certificates

Secure multiple domains with an Extended Validation (EV) SSL certificate.

Maximum protection against phishing attacks through the use of an Extended Validation (EV) SSL certificate for a large number of different domain names (SANs); this is the advantage of a Multidomain EV certificate. This product is especially well-suited for securing large web servers, online shops, multishop applications, and extranets, as multiple top-level domains can be secured with the same certificate.

What does Extended Validation (EV) mean for Multidomain SSL Certificates?

Extended Validation SSL translates to "SSL with Extended Validation." It is considered the highest verification standard of all SSL certificates, as it involves a comprehensive validation process that ensures the applicant has been verified regarding their name, address, and business details and is trustworthy. The goal is to make it more difficult or even prevent phishing through encrypted websites, which may appear secure at first glance, by ensuring that only legitimate, reachable applicants receive EV certification. As a result, only the original sites will display the name and details of the certificate-holding company when accessing the HTTPS connection.
