• GDPR Compliance / EU-GDPR

  The issuing authority (CA) assures that personal data is stored and processed solely in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union.

• Class 2 S/MIME Certificate

  This certificate is a Class 2 S/MIME certificate, with a total of 3 validation classes. For the issuance of a Class 2 certificate, in addition to a valid email address, the applicant is also verified. This is done by the certification authority requesting a legally valid document (ID card or driver’s license) based on the information provided during the order. Upon successful verification, the first and last name of the applicant is included in the signature information, significantly enhancing the certificate’s significance.

• RSASSA-PSS

  RSASSA-PSS certificates, like the one presented here, are created according to the specifications of the BDEW (Federal Association of Energy and Water Industries e.V.). These certificates are primarily for communication exchange in the energy sector. The BSI (Federal Office for Information Security) also mandates the use of RSASSA-PSS certificates in this area. As EDIFACT data contains very sensitive personal data, its exchange can only occur with the appropriate digital signature and encryption. The RSA-PSS signature algorithm offers significantly higher security than the older RSA algorithm.
