SSL Certificate with Domain Validation
A simple automatic check of domain ownership takes place, e.g., via the Admin-C email address. To this end, the certification authority sends a verification email with a validation link to the email address to be secured (e.g., admin@, administrator@, hostmaster@, webmaster@, postmaster@). Domain validation represents the simplest of three possible validation standards, resulting in the domain owner not being listed in the certificate.
Multi-Domain: Secure multiple top-level domains
Multi-Domain SSL certificates allow the protection of several different top-level domains (e.g., www.yourdomain.com, www.mywebsite.com, and shop.theirdomain.com) in just one certificate. With the same encryption strength, they provide a cost-effective alternative to purchasing multiple single-root SSL certificates.

The data exchanged between a client (e.g., web browser) and a server is encrypted before sending and decrypted after receiving. The strength of encryption is measured based on the bit strength. CERTUM Site Seal
The site seal indicates to visitors that the website is transmitted SSL-encrypted. When clicking on the seal, CERTUM shows further information on encryption in a pop-up window, but does not provide any information about the site owner. This would only be the case with corporate validation.
